Montague Township didn’t have its own post office until the 1980s. Prior to that, mail was delivered via the Port Jervis, NY post office. Needless to say, this led to confusion among letter carriers who weren’t sure if it was better to lose people’s mail on the New York or the New Jersey side of the border.
As for us, we don’t deliver – we take away. Although, if you’d like some raw sewage dropped off, give us a call and we’ll swing by.
