Not surprisingly, Oakland’s name is derived from the many white oak trees in the area. What you may not have guessed, however, is that the town’s Van Allen House was a stop for George Washington in 1777.

Our first president was known for his calm demeanor under pressure and his exceptional hair, two qualities our highly-trained technicians have also been known to boast (well, at least those of us who do have hair. Boy do some of us wish those fashionable, powdered wigs were still in style). Invite us over and see for yourself.
