The town of Greeley takes its name after Horace Greeley, the editor of the 19 th century newspaper the New York Tribune and the founder of the Liberal Republican Party. Horace would go on to form several other paradoxical organizations including, “The Always Dry League of Swimmers” and “Vegans for Diary.”
